2005-12-29[ASUS_ACPI] work around Samsung P30s oopsKarol Kozimor
The code used to rely on a certain method to return a NULL buffer, which is now hardly possible with the implicit return code on by default. This sort of fixes bugs #5067 and #5092 for now. Note: this patch makes the driver unusable on said machines (and on said machines only) iff acpi=strict is specified, but it seems noone really uses that. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
