2021-09-22net: hns3: disable mac in flr processYufeng Mo
commit b81d8948746520f989e86d66292ff72b5056114a upstream. The firmware will not disable mac in flr process. Therefore, the driver needs to proactively disable mac during flr, which is the same as the function reset. 2021-09-22net: hns3: change affinity_mask to numa node rangeYufeng Mo
commit 1dc839ec09d3ab2a4156dc98328b8bc3586f2b70 upstream. Currently, affinity_mask is set to a single cpu. As a result, irqbalance becomes invalid in SUBSET or EXACT mode. To solve this problem, change affinity_mask to numa node range. In this way, irqbalance can be performed on the cpu of the numa node. 2021-09-22net: hns3: pad the short tunnel frame before sending to hardwareYufeng Mo
commit d18e81183b1cb9c309266cbbce9acd3e0c528d04 upstream. The hardware cannot handle short tunnel frames below 65 bytes, and will cause vlan tag missing problem. So pads packet size to 65 bytes for tunnel frames to fix this bug. 2021-09-03net: hns3: fix get wrong pfc_en when query PFC configurationGuangbin Huang
[ Upstream commit 8c1671e0d13d4a0ba4fb3a0da932bf3736d7ff73 ] Currently, when query PFC configuration by dcbtool, driver will return PFC enable status based on TC. As all priorities are mapped to TC0 by default, if TC0 is enabled, then all priorities mapped to TC0 will be shown as enabled status when query PFC setting, even though some priorities have never been set. for example: $ dcb pfc show dev eth0 pfc-cap 4 macsec-bypass off delay 0 prio-pfc 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off 7:off $ dcb pfc set dev eth0 prio-pfc 0:on 1:on 2:on 3:on $ dcb pfc show dev eth0 pfc-cap 4 macsec-bypass off delay 0 prio-pfc 0:on 1:on 2:on 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:on 7:on To fix this problem, just returns user's PFC config parameter saved in driver. [ Upstream commit 1a6d281946c330cee2855f6d0cd796616e54601f ] If a PF is bonded to a virtual machine and the virtual machine exits unexpectedly, some hardware resource cannot be cleared. In this case, loading driver may cause exceptions. Therefore, the hardware resource needs to be cleared when the driver is loaded. 2021-07-28net: hns3: fix rx VLAN offload state inconsistent issueJian Shen
[ Upstream commit bbfd4506f962e7e6fff8f37f017154a3c3791264 ] Currently, VF doesn't enable rx VLAN offload when initializating, and PF does it for VFs. If user disable the rx VLAN offload for VF with ethtool -K, and reload the VF driver, it may cause the rx VLAN offload state being inconsistent between hardware and software. 2021-05-19net: hns3: use netif_tx_disable to stop the transmit queuePeng Li
[ Upstream commit b416e872be06fdace3c36cf5210130509d0f0e72 ] Currently, netif_tx_stop_all_queues() is used to ensure that the xmit is not running, but for the concurrent case it will not take effect, since netif_tx_stop_all_queues() just sets a flag without locking to indicate that the xmit queue(s) should not be run. So use netif_tx_disable() to replace netif_tx_stop_all_queues(), it takes the xmit queue lock while marking the queue stopped. 2021-05-19net: hns3: add check for HNS3_NIC_STATE_INITED in hns3_reset_notify_up_enet()Jian Shen
[ Upstream commit b4047aac4ec1066bab6c71950623746d7bcf7154 ] In some cases, the device is not initialized because reset failed. If another task calls hns3_reset_notify_up_enet() before reset retry, it will cause an error since uninitialized pointer access. So add check for HNS3_NIC_STATE_INITED before calling hns3_nic_net_open() in hns3_reset_notify_up_enet(). [ Upstream commit ed7bedd2c3ca040f1e8ea02c6590a93116b1ec78 ] Currently, the VF down state bit is cleared after VF sending link status request command. There is problem that when VF gets link status replied from PF, the down state bit may still set as 1. In this case, the link status replied from PF will be ignored and always set VF link status to down. To fix this problem, clear VF down state bit before VF requests link status. [ Upstream commit 61f54de2e9194f01874d5eda12037b0978e77519 ] hclge_dbg_reg_info[] is defined as an array of packed structure accidentally. However, this array contains pointers, which are no longer aligned naturally, and cannot be relocated on PPC64. Since each field in structure hclge_qos_pri_map_cmd and hclge_dbg_bitmap_cmd is type u8, the pragma packed is unnecessary for these two structures as well, so remove the pragma packed in hclge_debugfs.h to fix this issue, and this increases hclge_dbg_reg_info[] by 4 bytes per entry. 2020-08-05net: hns3: fix a TX timeout issueYonglong Liu
[ Upstream commit a7e90ee5965fafc53d36e8b3205f08c88d7bc11f ] When the queue depth and queue parameters are modified, there is a low probability that TX timeout occurs. The two operations cause the link to be down or up when the watchdog is still working. All queues are stopped when the link is down. After the carrier is on, all queues are woken up. If the watchdog detects the link between the carrier on and wakeup queues, a false TX timeout occurs. So fix this issue by modifying the sequence of carrier on and queue wakeup, which is symmetrical to the link down action. 2020-07-29net: hns3: fix error handling for desc fillingYunsheng Lin
[ Upstream commit 8ceca59fb3ed48a693171bd571c4fcbd555b7f1f ] The content of the TX desc is automatically cleared by the HW when the HW has sent out the packet to the wire. When desc filling fails in hns3_nic_net_xmit(), it will call hns3_clear_desc() to do the error handling, which miss zeroing of the TX desc and the checking if a unmapping is needed. So add the zeroing and checking in hns3_clear_desc() to avoid the above problem. Also add DESC_TYPE_UNKNOWN to indicate the info in desc_cb is not valid, because hns3_nic_reclaim_desc() may treat the desc_cb->type of zero as packet and add to the sent pkt statistics accordingly. [ Upstream commit 68e1006f618e509fc7869259fe83ceec4a95dac3 ] When fibre port supports auto-negotiation, the IMP(Intelligent Management Process) processes the speed of auto-negotiation and the user's speed separately. For below case, the port will get a not link up problem. step 1: disables auto-negotiation and sets speed to A, then the driver's MAC speed will be updated to A. step 2: enables auto-negotiation and MAC gets negotiated speed B, then the driver's MAC speed will be updated to B through querying in periodical task. step 3: MAC gets new negotiated speed A. step 4: disables auto-negotiation and sets speed to B before periodical task query new MAC speed A, the driver will ignore the speed configuration. 2019-11-19net: hns3: fix a wrong reset interrupt status maskHuazhong Tan
According to hardware user manual, bits5~7 in register HCLGE_MISC_VECTOR_INT_STS means reset interrupts status, but HCLGE_RESET_INT_M is defined as bits0~2 now. So it will make hclge_reset_err_handle() read the wrong reset interrupt status. This patch fixes this wrong bit mask. When a TC's PFC is disabled or enabled, the RX private buffer for this TC need to be changed too, otherwise this may cause packet dropped problem. This patch fixes it by calling hclge_buffer_alloc to reallocate buffer when pfc_en changes. 2019-11-14net: hns3: add compatible handling for MAC VLAN switch parameter configurationGuangbin Huang
Previously, hns3 driver just directly send specific setting bit and mask bits of MAC VLAN switch parameter to the firmware, it can not be compatible with the old firmware, because the old one ignores mask bits and covers all bits with new setting bits. So when running with old firmware, the communication between PF and VF will fail after resetting or configuring spoof check, since they will do the MAC VLAN switch parameter configuration. This patch fixes this problem by reading switch parameter firstly, then just modifies the corresponding bit and sends it to firmware. 2019-11-07net: hns: Fix the stray netpoll locks causing deadlock in NAPI pathSalil Mehta
This patch fixes the problem of the spin locks, originally meant for the netpoll path of hns driver, causing deadlock in the normal NAPI poll path. The issue happened due to the presence of the stray leftover spin lock code related to the netpoll, whose support was earlier removed from the HNS[1], got activated due to enabling of NET_POLL_CONTROLLER switch. Earlier background: The netpoll handling code originally had this bug(as identified by Marc Zyngier[2]) of wrong spin lock API being used which did not disable the interrupts and hence could cause locking issues. i.e. if the lock were first acquired in context to thread like 'ip' util and this lock if ever got later acquired again in context to the interrupt context like TX/RX (Interrupts could always pre-empt the lock holding task and acquire the lock again) and hence could cause deadlock. Proposed Solution: 1. If the netpoll was enabled in the HNS driver, which is not right now, we could have simply used spin_[un]lock_irqsave() 2. But as netpoll is disabled, therefore, it is best to get rid of the existing locks and stray code for now. This should solve the problem reported by Marc. 2019-11-06net: hns3: add compatible handling for command HCLGE_OPC_PF_RST_DONEHuazhong Tan
Since old firmware does not support HCLGE_OPC_PF_RST_DONE, it will return -EOPNOTSUPP to the driver when received this command. So for this case, it should just print a warning and return success to the caller.
