2021-01-05staging: rtl819x: select CONFIG_CRC32Arnd Bergmann
Without crc32 support, the drivers fail to link: ERROR: modpost: "crc32_le" [drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtllib_crypt_wep.ko] undefined! ERROR: modpost: "crc32_le" [drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtllib_crypt_tkip.ko] undefined! ERROR: modpost: "crc32_le" [drivers/staging/rtl8192u/r8192u_usb.ko] undefined! 2020-09-11staging/rtl8192u: switch to RC4 library interfaceArd Biesheuvel
Switch to the ARC4 library interface, to remove the pointless dependency on the skcipher API, from which we will hopefully be able to drop ecb(arc4) skcipher support. 2019-08-18staging: rtl8192u: ieee80211: ieee80211_crypt_ccmp.c: Use crypto API ccm(aes)Christina Quast
Use ccm(aes) aead transform instead of invoking the AES block cipher block by block. 2019-04-03staging: add missing SPDX lines to Kconfig filesGreg Kroah-Hartman
There are a few remaining drivers/staging/*/Kconfig files that do not have SPDX identifiers in them. Add the correct GPL-2.0 identifier to them to make scanning tools happy. Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2018-02-02Staging: rtl8192u: kconfig: Remove blank help textUlf Magnusson
Blank help texts are probably either a typo, a Kconfig misunderstanding, or some kind of half-committing to adding a help text (in which case a TODO comment would be clearer, if the help text really can't be added right away). Best to remove them, IMO. Signed-off-by: Ulf Magnusson <ulfalizer@gmail.com> Acked-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
2014-02-20Kconfig: Remove useless "default N" linesPaul Bolle
A number of Kconfig entries default to (uppercase) "N". It was clearly intended to use "default n". But since (lowercase) "n" is the default anyway, these lines might as well be removed. Signed-off-by: Paul Bolle <pebolle@tiscali.nl> Signed-off-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz>
2011-04-04staging/rtl81*: build as loadable modules onlyRandy Dunlap
These 3 drivers contain much duplicated (triplicated) code, so building them as built-in results in many errors like: (.text+0x1b160): multiple definition of `ieee80211_sta_ps_sleep' Prevent this configuration by making them all buildable only as loadable modules (similar to the vt665[56] patch last week). 2010-06-18Staging: rtl81xx: Fix build problems when CONFIG_CRYPTO=nAndreas Herrmann

2010-03-03Staging: rtl8192u: Add select WEXT_PRIV to Kconfig to prevent build failurePeter Huewe
Without WEXT_PRIV set the driver fails to build due to unknown fields in the iw_handler_def struct. Those fields are enclosed in WEXT_PRIV conditionals in the prototype of iw_handler_def in include/net/iw_handler.h Signed-off-by: Peter Huewe <peterhuewe@gmx.de> Acked-by: Simon Horman <horms@verge.net.au> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

2009-12-11Staging: Added Realtek rtl8192u driver to stagingJerry Chuang
Add Realtek linux driver for rtl8192u as provided by Realtek rtl8192u_linux_2.6.0006.1031.2008.tar.gz, send to me C/C staging ML. This version won't compile against upstream, doesn't follow Linux CodingStyle and has their own ieee80211 stack.
