[ Upstream commit 2ab189164056b05474275bb40caa038a37713061 ]
Commit 723de0f9171e ("staging: most: remove device from interface
structure") moved registration of driver-provided struct device to
the most subsystem.
Dim2 used to register the same struct device to provide a custom device
attribute. This causes double-registration of the same struct device.
Fix that by moving the custom attribute to driver's dev_groups.
This moves attribute to the platform_device object, which is a better
location for platform-specific attributes anyway.

[ Upstream commit e16f5e39acd6d10cc63ae39bc0a77188ed828f22 ]
There were several issues with handling errors in lm3554_probe():
- Probe did not set the error code when v4l2_ctrl_handler_init() failed.
- It intermixed gotos for handling errors of v4l2_ctrl_handler_init()
and media_entity_pads_init().
- It did not set the error code for failures of v4l2_ctrl_new_custom().
- Probe did not free resources in case of failures of
atomisp_register_i2c_module().
The patch fixes all these issues.

commit 0887e9e152efbd3601d6c907e90033d25067277d upstream.
The mem-to-mem stateless decoder API specifies support for dynamic
resolution changes. In particular, the decoder should accept format
changes on the OUTPUT queue even when buffers have been allocated,
as long as it is not streaming.
Relax restrictions for S_FMT as described in the previous paragraph,
and as long as the codec format remains the same. This aligns it with
the Hantro and Cedrus decoders. This change was mostly based on commit
ae02d49493b5 ("media: hantro: Fix s_fmt for dynamic resolution changes").
Since rkvdec_s_fmt() is now just a wrapper around the output/capture
variants without any additional shared functionality, drop the wrapper
and call the respective functions directly.

commit 298d8e8f7bcf023aceb60232d59b983255fec0df upstream.
The rkvdec H.264 decoder currently overrides sizeimage for the output
format. This causes issues when userspace requires and requests a larger
buffer, but ends up with one of insufficient size.
Instead, only provide a default size if none was requested. This fixes
the video_decode_accelerator_tests from Chromium failing on the first
frame due to insufficient buffer space. It also aligns the behavior
of the rkvdec driver with the Hantro and Cedrus drivers.

commit a44f9d6f9dc1fb314a3f1ed2dcd4fbbcc3d9f892 upstream.
There is a wrong comparison of the total size of the loaded firmware
css->fw->size with the size of a pointer to struct imgu_fw_header.
Turn binary_header into a flexible-array member[1][2], use the
struct_size() helper and fix the wrong size comparison. Notice
that the loaded firmware needs to contain at least one 'struct
imgu_fw_info' item in the binary_header[] array.
It's also worth mentioning that
"css->fw->size < struct_size(css->fwp, binary_header, 1)"
with binary_header declared as a flexible-array member is equivalent
to
"css->fw->size < sizeof(struct imgu_fw_header)"
with binary_header declared as a one-element array (as in the original
code).
The replacement of the one-element array with a flexible-array member
also helps with the ongoing efforts to globally enable -Warray-bounds
and get us closer to being able to tighten the FORTIFY_SOURCE routines
on memcpy().

commit c052cc1a069c3e575619cf64ec427eb41176ca70 upstream.
Syzbot reported use-after-free in rtl8712_dl_fw(). The problem was in
race condition between r871xu_dev_remove() ->ndo_open() callback.
It's easy to see from crash log, that driver accesses released firmware
in ->ndo_open() callback. It may happen, since driver was releasing
firmware _before_ unregistering netdev. Fix it by moving
unregister_netdev() before cleaning up resources.

Tiled formats requires full rows being allocated (even for Chroma
planes). When the number of Luma tiles is odd, we need to round up
to twice the tile width in order to roundup the number of Chroma
tiles.
This was notice with a crash running BA1_FT_C compliance test using
sunxi tiles using GStreamer. Cedrus driver would allocate 9 rows for
Luma, but only 4.5 rows for Chroma, causing userspace to crash.

of_genpd_add_device() is called before platform_device_register(), as it
needs to attach the genpd before the device is probed. But the spinlock
is only initialized when the device is registered.
Fix this by open-coding the spinlock initialization, cfr.
device_pm_init_common() in the internal drivers/base code, and in the
SuperH early platform code.

IOMEM, which basically makes it impossible to include this driver into any

commit 7d761b084b3c785e1fbbe707fbdf7baba905c6ad upstream.
When nothing is connected to pcie ports, each port is set to reset state.
When this occurs, next access result in a hang on boot as follows:
mt7621-pci 1e140000.pcie: pcie0 no card, disable it (RST & CLK)
mt7621-pci 1e140000.pcie: pcie1 no card, disable it (RST & CLK)
mt7621-pci 1e140000.pcie: pcie2 no card, disable it (RST & CLK)
[ HANGS HERE ]
Fix this just detecting 'nothing is connected state' to avoid next accesses
to pcie port related configuration registers.

This reverts commit 819fbd3d8ef36c09576c2a0ffea503f5c46e9177.
It turns out that some user-space applications use these uapi header
files, so even though the only user of the interface is an old driver
that was moved to staging, moving the header files causes unnecessary
pain.
Generally, we really don't want user space to use kernel headers
directly (exactly because it causes pain when we re-organize), and
instead copy them as needed. But these things happen, and the headers
were in the uapi directory, so I guess it's not entirely unreasonable.

and disabling the access to peripherals. Those gates that are not
in use are properly being automatically disabled by the kernel.
Pcie driver is explicitly doing a 'clk_disable_unprepare' call for
gates of those pcies that are not used. Since kernel has already
disabled them, the following warnings appear:

There was strange error handling logic in case of fw load failure. For
some reason fw loader callback was doing clean up stuff when fw is not
available. I don't see any reason behind doing this. Since this driver
doesn't have EEPROM firmware let's just disconnect it in case of fw load
failure. Doing clean up stuff in 2 different place which can run
concurently is not good idea and syzbot found 2 bugs related to this
strange approach.
So, in this pacth I deleted all clean up code from fw callback and made
a call to device_release_driver() under device_lock(parent) in case of fw
load failure. This approach is more generic and it defend driver from UAF
bugs, since all clean up code is moved to one place.

This patch is preparation for following patch for error handling
refactoring.
flush_scheduled_work() takes (wq_completion)events lock and
it can lead to deadlock when r871xu_dev_remove() is called from workqueue.
To avoid deadlock sutiation we can change flush_scheduled_work() call to
flush_work() call for all possibly scheduled works in this driver,
since next patch adds device_release_driver() in case of fw load failure.

Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd:
"This round has a diffstat dominated by Qualcomm clk drivers. Honestly
though that's just a bunch of data so the diffstat reflects that.
Looking beyond that there's just a bunch of updates all around in
various clk drivers. Renesas and NXP (for i.MX) are two SoC vendors
that have a lot of patches in here.
Overall the driver changes look to be mostly enabling more clks and
non-critical fixes that we could hold until the next merge window.
I'm especially excited about the series from Arnd that graduates
clkdev to be the only implementation of clk_get() and clk_put().
That's a good step in the right direction to migreate eveerything over
to the common clk framework. Now we don't have to worry about clkdev
specific details, they're just part of the clk API now.
Core:
- clkdev is now the only option, i.e. clk_get()/clk_put() is
implemented in only one place in the kernel instead of in
drivers/clk/clkdev.c and in architectures that want their own
implementation
New Drivers:
- Texas Instruments' LMK04832 Ultra Low-Noise JESD204B Compliant
Clock Jitter Cleaner With Dual Loop PLLs
- Qualcomm MDM9607 GCC
- Qualcomm SC8180X display clks

kernel.h is being used as a dump for all kinds of stuff for a long time.
Here is the attempt to start cleaning it up by splitting out panic and
oops helpers.
There are several purposes of doing this:
- dropping dependency in bug.h
- dropping a loop by moving out panic_notifier.h
- unload kernel.h from something which has its own domain
At the same time convert users tree-wide to use new headers, although for
the time being include new header back to kernel.h to avoid twisted
indirected includes for existing users.

Pull irq updates from Thomas Gleixner:
"Updates for the interrupt subsystem:
Core changes:
- Cleanup and simplification of common code to invoke the low level
interrupt flow handlers when this invocation requires irqdomain
resolution. Add the necessary core infrastructure.
- Provide a proper interface for modular PMU drivers to set the
interrupt affinity.
- Add a request flag which allows to exclude interrupts from spurious
interrupt detection. Useful especially for IPI handlers which
always return IRQ_HANDLED which turns the spurious interrupt
detection into a pointless waste of CPU cycles.
Driver changes:
- Bulk convert interrupt chip drivers to the new irqdomain low level
flow handler invocation mechanism.
- Add device tree bindings for the Renesas R-Car M3-W+ SoC
- Enable modular build of the Qualcomm PDC driver
- The usual small fixes and improvements"
