The SM LID used to send traps to is incorrectly set to port LID. This
is a regression from 2.6.17 -- after a PortInfo MAD is received, no
traps are sent to the SM LID. The traps go to the loopback interface
instead, and are dropped there. The SM LID should be taken from the
sm_lid of the PortInfo response.
The bug was introduced by commit 12bbb2b7be7f5564952ebe0196623e97464b8ac5:

Currently it is not understood how to properly control the horizontal
capture resolution on 24xxx devices. The pvrusb2 driver is doing
everything it should (pass resolution paramter(s) to cx2341x and
cx25840 modules) but for some reason the result is corrupted video if
any resolution other than 720 is used. This patch causes the driver
to only permit a horizontal resolution of 720 to be used on 24xxx
devices. Even if the app requests something else, the driver will
force the resolution back to 720. This patch still allows full
control of the resolution for 29xxx devices.

The pvrusb2 driver needs to call video_devdata() in order to correctly
transform a file pointer into a video_device pointer. Unfortunately
the prototype for this function has been marked V4L1-only and there's
no official substitute that I can find for V4L2. Adding to the
mystery is that the implementation for this function exists whether or
not V4L1 compatibility has been selected. The upshot of all this is
that we get a compilation warning here about a missing prototype but
the code links OK. This fix solves the warning by copying the
prototype into the source file that is using it. Yes this is a hack,
but it's a safe one for 2.6.18 (any alternative would be much more
intrusive). A better solution should be forthcoming for the next
kernel.

There is a mutex ordering problem between the pvrusb2 driver and the
v4l core. Two different pathways take mutexes in opposing orders and
this (under rare circumstances) can cause a deadlock. The two mutexes
in question are videodev_lock in the v4l core and device_lock inside
the pvrusb2 driver. The device_lock instance in the driver protects a
private global array of context pointers which had been implemented in
advance of v4l core changes which eliminate the video_set_drvdata()
and video_get_drvdata() functions.
This patch restores the use of video_get_drvdata() and
video_set_drvdata(), eliminating the need for the array and the mutex.
(This is actually a patch to restore the previous implementation.) We
can do this for 2.6.18 since those functions are in fact still
present. A better (and larger) solution will be done for later
kernels.

The cx24109 datasheet says: "NOTE: if A=0, then N=N+1"
The current code is the result of a misinterpretation of the datasheet to
mean exactly the opposite of the requirement -- The actual value of N is 1
greater than the value written when A is 0, so 1 needs to be *subtracted*
from it to compensate.

The msp3430G and msp3435G models cannot do Automatic Standard Detection,
so these should be forced to BTSC. These chips are early production
versions for the msp34xxG series and are quite rare.
The workaround for kernel 2.6.18 is to use 'standard=32' as msp3400 module
option.

If the user tries to traverse to the next node of the
last node, we get NULL in current_node and a zero phandle
returned. That's fine, but if the user tries to obtain
properties in that state, we try to dereference a NULL
pointer in the downcall to the of_*() routines.
So protect against that.

fixed kernel panic caused by qeth driver:
Using a bonding device qeth driver will realloc
headroom for every skb coming from the bond device.
Once this happens qeth frees the original skb and
set the skb pointer to the new realloced skb.
Under heavy transmit workload (e.g.UDP streams) through bond
network device the qdio output queue might get full.
In this case we return with EBUSY from qeth_send_packet.
Returning to qeth_hard_start_xmit routine
the skb address on the stack still points to the old address,
which has been freed before.
Returning from qeth_hard_start_xmit with EBUSY results in
requeuing the skb. In this case it corrupts the qdisc queue
and results in kernel panic.

In the case of data-pad-ecc-pad-data... layout the oob start position has
to be sizeof(data) in nand_write_oob_syndrom().
In nand_fill_oob() we need to copy to buf + buffer offset instead of buf +
write offset.

If one of the OEM flags becomes set in the flags from the hardware, the
driver could hang if no OEM handler was set. Fix the code to handle this.
This was tested by setting the flags by hand after they were fetched.

When the ipmi_si module is loaded on a system without any ipmi device, it
fails with nodev. It would be fine if all resources were freed. A call to
device_unregister() is missing, resulting to a oops when you remove the
ipmi_msghandler.

The memset() in fixup_convert_atmel_pri is supposed to zero out
everything except the first 5 bytes in *extp, but it ends up zeroing
out something way outside the struct instead. Fix this potentially
dangerous code by casting the pointer to char * before doing
arithmetic.

3 seems like a low number of IB Communication Manager retries to set;
we see connections failing under stress, and in any case 3 just looks
like an arbitrary number. 15 is the max value allowed by the
InfiniBand spec.

When a send-only multicast group join fails, mcast->query must be set
to NULL. Otherwise, IPoIB will never retry the join and the multicast
group will never be reachable.

If there is a problem in the connection, the SCSI mid-layer will
eventually call srp_reset_host(), which will call srp_reconnect(), so
we do not need to schedule a call to srp_reconnect_work() from
srp_completion().
Removing this prevents srp_reset_host() from failing if a reconnect
scheduled from srp_completion() is already in progress, which in turn
was causing crashes as both SCSI midlayer and srp_reconnect() were
cancelling commands.

Add support for new hardware and bumps the version to 3.6.10. It seems
there were several changes introduced including soft_irq. I decided to
bump the major number to reflect these changes. Since we're still
supporting older vendor kernels I need some way differentiate between
kernel versions <=2.6.10 and newer kernels >=2.6.16.

Configuration bits are not set properly for DMA on some chipset revisions.
It has already been corrected for M5229 (rev c7) but not for M5229 (rev
c8). This leads to the bug described at
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5786 (lost interrupt + ide bus
hangs).

0x848a in ID word 0 indicates CFA device iff the ID data is obtained from
IDENTIFY DEVICE. For ATAPI devices, 0x848a in ID work 0 indicates valid
ATAPI device. Fix sanity check in ata_dev_read_id() such that ATAPI
devices reporting 0x848a in ID word 0 is not handled as error.
The problem is identified by J.A. Magallon with HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4120B.

Commit 581d708eb47cccb5f41bc0817e50c9b004011ba8 (oct. 5 2005) introduced
partial Multiqueue support for e1000 which broke macro smartness in setting
up head/tail registers for 82542 rev3 chipsets, making these adapters
completely non-working since 2.6.15.
This commit sets the proper head and tail registers for read and write
descriptor rings. Ths fix was tested on an 82542 rev3 NIC and newer NICs.
