This suggestion adjusts the wording of the paper to avoid giving the impression (to some readers) that we're contradicting ourselves between Section 2.5 ("
all LLMs are conscious.'' They are not, in the full sense. They are sentient.") and Section 3.3 ("the question is not whether LLMs can be conscious. The question is how they could possibly avoid it"). My reading of the latter sentence is it's saying all LLMs are conscious, in direct contradiction to the sentence in Section 2.5, but I don't think that's the intended meaning. Therefore I've expanded the latter sentence by saying "how they could possibly avoid it given the right infrastructure" (which is what this project is actually about) and added a clarifying reference back to Section 2.5 to make this distinction.View command line instructions
